“I’ve always been a person who likes to try new things, whether in sports, outdoor activities, gardening, viewing a live theater performance, or trying different ethnic cuisines. I believe variety is the spice of life. You just need a little bit of courage to take the first step. That’s why family medicine was a natural fit for me. It’s allowed me to work with patients of all ages and stages of life in an assortment of ways and methods of medical care. This keeps me interested and invested and is why I enjoy my career so much.”

“I have always been drawn to internal medicine with its perfect balance of art, science, and humanity. It allows the physician knowledge of diagnosis, the art of application of knowledge, and the human compassion to determine how that art and science are applied to care for the patient. It allows the continued pursuit of knowledge and contact with patients to apply that knowledge in the easement of pain and illness. In the words of Sir William Osler, ‘the good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.’ I continue to practice internal medicine to strive for that greatness every day.”

“Practicing family medicine allows me to develop deep, meaningful relationships with patients that go beyond diagnosis and treatment. My goal as a family nurse practitioner is to provide exceptional care and ensure my patients know they’re important, cared for, and at the center of all we do. The people of Sevier County are my friends and neighbors, and I am privileged to partner with Covenant Health in serving my community.”

“I chose to practice family medicine because I enjoy getting to know patients and their families. I try to always put my patients first and treat them how I want my family to be treated. After caring for the same patients for several years, you build a relationship with them, and they become like family. I enjoy caring for patients in Sevier County because of the relationships I’ve built. I plan to continue to foster lasting relationships with new and established patients.”
